Hurricane Harvey hit Texas on last week and many cities including Houston experienced flooding and had to evacuate their homes. As a resident of Houston, this experience has been personally difficult. However, my experience can't be compared to the thousands of people who were stuck or had to be rescued with the clothes on their back. I appreciate the email and text messages to check on me from my friends, family, and colleagues across the country. I'm even more grateful to see the humanity of people and the Houston community pull together through these difficult times.
